Zalind Ifeyinwa Ezeuko is a Diabetes Nurse Specialist with Post graduate Diploma in Diabetes, MSc Diabetes Care, (Warwick Medical School UK ). BSc Public Health/Primary Care Nursing (Kings College University of London, UK). In Canada, Zalind Ezeuko is a certified Diabetes Educator recognized by the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board (CDECB) and the International Diabetes Federation (IDF)

In her professional role, Zalind serves as a Diabetes Educator and Resource Person for both in-patient and out-patient diabetes services at the University of Alberta Hospital. She is also a former Chair of the Diabetes Canada Edmonton Chapter and an active content creator for diabetes education through her initiative, “Let’s Dia-Beat it!”

Outside of work, Zalind is a dedicated mother who enjoys cooking, traveling to explore different cultures, listening to music, and dancing. She also engages in various fitness activities, including cardiopulmonary exercises, strength training, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and Wall Pilates.

A passionate advocate for diabetes awareness and education, Zalind seizes every opportunity to educate others about diabetes. She believes that addressing the diabetes epidemic is crucial and is always ready to offer her expertise and support. “If you have any interest in or concerns about the diabetes epidemic, then I am more than capable and happy to be of service!” This is her favourite conversation starter and a testament to her dedication.
