Black Women’s Health: Female Circumcision

Female genital mutilation (FGM) remains a pervasive violation of human rights, with over 230 million girls and women affected worldwide, and Africa shouldering 62% of this burden. Join us and Dr Oluwakemi Amodu on May 18th for the continuation of our online presentation series focused on Black Women’s Health Advocacy Initiative, where we delve into the harrowing issue of FGM.

Our session aims to shed light on the unique challenges faced by Black women in the context of female circumcision. Through insightful discussions and expert perspectives, we will explore the physical, psychological, and socio-cultural ramifications of FGM within Black communities.
